Protoscript – Home (via Simon): I don’t understand why they say it’s “for prototyping”? Is there something wrong with this javascript library that makes it unsuited for real use?

Yes, you could use it for production. I just have been focused on prototyping and did not want to be encumbered with solving every problem out there. So I chose a smaller space to go after.
I am sure others will use it the way they see fit. Think if it as a wrapper over your favorite toolkit.

It’s good for real use, but Bill says it well on his blog: “Prototyping is too hard for non-techies… I am a huge proponent of breaking down the barriers for the non-techies among us to be able to do what us techie geeks can do.”

The next step is to lay a GUI on top of this so designers don’t have to touch the code at all.
