So this puzzles me: minutes after posting an entry, the GoogleAds for it are relevant (about memory cards). Yet, if I look at the cached page at Google, it says it doesn’t have any. So has Google spidered this page? If not, how does it know which keywords to show? (I don’t have access to my logs to see if the bot came by.)

  1. Google has a separate bot for AdSense. In my experience it visits between 3 and 60 minutes after it learns of a new url, and -very- shortly after this visit ads are re-targeted.

The Google spider itself seems to have a 1-2 day turnaround (at least on my sites – I hear results vary).

(Incidentally, I found this blog googling for my own full name, “Peter van Dijk” :)
