Semantic Blogging is one of the use cases for my Ideagraph app [1], initially using various standard vocabularies (RSS, DC etc) along with those at [2]. An open source spinoff project is JemBlog (Jena Semantic Weblog Server) at [3] – this is new, though ususable code should be ready in a week or so.
The only other product/project I’m aware of that is already making inroads in this territory is NewsMonster [4], though I’m pretty sure there’s plenty going on behind closed doors ;-)

…another idea might be to automatically check comments for dupplicates (or stop the cat running over the keyboard ;-)
